The Anglican Diocese of Riverina are committed to making sure our people are equipped with the knowledge and skills
they need to create and maintain safe ministry environments.
Safe Ministry training is compulsory for all Clergy, Parish Councillors, Wardens, SRE Teachers and any church workers or volunteers involved
in ministry to children or vulnerable people. However, we encourage all parishioners to undertake this training.
Online training tailored to the Diocese of Riverina is now available at:
Creating Safer Communities.
The training consists of self-paced online modules.
Module 1 – Safe Ministry Essentials Induction is for church workers that do not work with children.
Combined Modules 1&2 – Safe Ministry with Children Induction are for church workers that are in positions requiring Child Safe training.
Please check with your supervisor or the Registry Office
which module applies to you.
Participants are required to register and pay the fee themselves when enrolling. A certificate will be issued upon completion, which we ask is forwarded to the Diocesan Registry office. Please see the guides below.
In addition to completing the training online independently, parishes may offer facilitated Group Sessions.
Please to contact your local parish to find out more information.
Creating Safer Communities has worked with the Anglican Diocese of Riverina to create tailored, role-specific Safe Church training. This training complies with NSW Child Safe Requirements and the National Anglican Standards for Safe Church training.
