Nominations Now Open for the 11th Bishop of Riverina


The Diocese of Riverina are now in the process of electing a new Bishop.

Communicant members of the Anglican Diocese of Riverina are now invited to consider the names of eligible Clergy you may wish to nominate for the next Bishop of Riverina.

  • Nominations will open from October 2018.
  • A Nomination Information Pack is available from the Diocesan Administrator.
  • Nominations will close November 30th.


Who is eligibleĀ for nomination?

Those eligible for election as Bishop of Riverina must be either a Priest or a Bishop who is a member of the Anglican Church of Australia or another Anglican Church which is in communion with the Anglican Church of Australia.

The person must be a least thirty years of age.


Who can submit a nomination?

Any communicant member of the Diocese of Riverina is welcome to submit a nomination. Nominations must be seconded by another communicant member of the Diocese and the member of Clergy being nominated must give their consent to the nomination.


How to make a Nomination

Nominations are being received from 1 October to 30 November 2018. Nominations are to be submitted by completing a nomination form and returning it along with the required supporting documents to the Diocesan Administrator by 30 November.

Nomination forms are included in the nomination packs.
